Convex, becoming flattened then depressed, smooth, margin lined, hygrophanous, beige to cream, 1 to 4 cm across

Notes

This species is easily recognised by the strong aniseed smell and the rubbery texture. Clitocybe odora also smells of aniseed, but it is more robust with a green cap.
